The Way Forward Reentry Initiative

Our story

Every Woman Deserves a Solid Way Forward.

Successful reentry begins with preparation. Lasting progress requires opportunity, stability, and continued support.

Our foundation

Built on experience. Guided by possibility.

The Way Forward Reentry Initiative builds on T.A.M.A.R.’s experience serving incarcerated and justice-involved women. We connect empowerment, education, and reentry preparation with a vision for coordinated community-based support.

Our Conference-to-Continuum-of-Care approach begins with ReUp, a 2-day, faith-based conference inside correctional facilities. T.H.R.I.V.E. carries that preparation forward through 6 weeks of personal development grounded in Faith, Femininity, Finances, and Family.

Beyond the conference and classroom, women need resource connections, meaningful partnerships, and continued opportunities to move forward.

A woman’s past should not determine the limits of her future.

The Way Forward is a program initiative of T.A.M.A.R., which remains the legal nonprofit behind this work.
